The term LAN party refers to a multiplayer gaming event where participants bring their own computers and build a temporary LAN.

Dear Sir,
I am an Indian student from Uppsala, Sweden. I have a problem in sharing the internet with my roommate. We had 0.6 Mbps connection. While having that it was difficult for the desktop user share for online streaming of videos which was very slow. Hence We increased the speed to 1 Mbps plan, when it didn't work out well, we upgraded the plan further to 3-5 Mbps Plan. Even with this high speed connection we have some conflicts in sharing.
The two sharing devices are:
1. Desktop computer with 0.9 GB RAM
and
2. Laptop computer with 2GB RAM.
We have mutual distrust on each other about who is consuming how much download speed. Please kindly suggest some download speed monitoring software.
Overall What could be the solution to solve this problem. Please help us sir, we are not in a situation to go for standalone internet connection because of low financial ability. SO we want to co-exist with single internet connection without any conflict in sharing. Suggest me some soulution sir.
